What does PullPing actually do?
PullPing brings GitHub pull request activity into Slack. It keeps one message current as a PR changes. Your team sees the status, the next action, and the right people to involve.
Will this add more noise to our channels?
PullPing updates the existing PR message instead of creating a new message for each change. Meaningful updates stay in its thread. Draft PRs wait until they are ready for review.
Can we choose which repositories go to each channel?
Yes. Run /pullping route owner/repo for repository routing. For monorepos, run /pullping route-label owner/repo label-name in each team channel.
Does PullPing change anything in GitHub?
No. PullPing receives GitHub events and can refresh PR snapshots through read-only API calls. Reviews, comments, and merges still happen in GitHub.
Are digests sent automatically?
Run /pullping digest for an immediate summary. Use /pullping digest schedule HH:MM for a daily digest. Schedules use UTC. Configured route admins control scheduling.
Can reviewers choose when to review?
Yes. Connect your GitHub identity with /pullping connect, then open Details on a PR where your review is requested. Choose a review time and optionally enable a private reminder. Authors can also set urgency and request a review response time.
